62 m² for up to 6 guests at a lake in the Mecklenburg Lake District, Germany, dog welcome — booked directly with the owner.
The bungalow stands in the second row from the Krakower See, in a quiet settlement of weekend houses in a state-certified climatic health resort. The living area and master bedroom are air-conditioned, the bathing and sunbathing jetty is about a two-minute walk away — and if you need to work in between, you simply close the office door behind you.
Room for up to six: four adults and two children. A 180 cm double bed in the main bedroom, a bunk bed in the children's room — and if you need more space, the office becomes the fifth and sixth berth with an extra double bed.
62 m² all on a single level — no stairs to climb. Around it, 678 m² of garden behind the electric gate, second row from the lake: your own quiet retreat.
No laptop at the kitchen table: a separate office with a lockable door, a desk, an ergonomic chair and a 34-inch Philips ultrawide monitor. The fibre line carries even long video calls — and after the last one, you simply close the door.
Your dog may come along — one per stay, by prior arrangement, €15 per night. Behind gate and hedge the garden is fully secured, so it can sniff and roam freely.
Two minutes on foot and you're at the bathing and sunbathing jetty on the Krakower See — usually deserted in the morning. Your boat gets its own berth.
A kitchen you'll actually cook in: induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with freezer. For that first coffee, a Philips 2200 bean-to-cup machine — freshly ground at the touch of a button.
“Krakow isn’t loud, the lake isn’t crowded, and the days here feel longer — because less gets in the way.”
Other holiday homes have a desk in the corner. I have a room for it.
A single open space: sofa, smart TV with a guest profile for your own streaming apps and a dining table — flowing straight into the fully equipped kitchen: induction hob, oven, microwave, dishwasher and a fridge with freezer. A Philips 2200 bean-to-cup machine grinds fresh at the touch of a button, with kettle and toaster too; salt and pepper are provided. Air-conditioned; with doors open, into the other rooms except the bathroom. Each room has its own heating for cooler days.
Double bed, 180 × 200 cm, with its own air conditioning for cool summer nights. Electric blinds — it stays dark in the morning until you decide otherwise.
Bunk bed for two children. The top bunk is not suitable for children under 6 (DIN EN 747-1).
Walk-in shower, washbasin and WC, plus a washing machine with dryer function. Towels and tea towels are provided.
A separate room with a desk, an ergonomic office chair, a 34-inch Philips ultrawide monitor and a lockable door. Fibre connection and Wi-Fi throughout the house — quiet enough for calls. On request, an additional double bed for up to two more guests.
Terrace furniture, a barbecue and an electrically operated awning. 678 m² garden with hedge, tool shed to store your own bikes and SUP boards, plus two parking spaces behind the electric gate.
The house stands on the western edge of the state-certified climatic health resort, two hundred metres from the water. Three restaurants, a market square, a marina — and the Mecklenburg Lake District at your door.
I let the Ferienhaus Kobe myself — no hotline, no ticket number, no agency in between. If you have a question, write to me directly.
I usually reply to enquiries within 24 hours, often faster. If something stops working during your stay — heating, dishwasher, internet — I have a plumber and an electrician in town who sort it out at short notice. No waiting-list circus.
The folder in the house holds what is actually useful: appliance manuals (in German), emergency numbers, my direct number, my favourite restaurant, the vet with a weekend emergency service, the nicest viewpoint on foot. Not directions from Google Maps, but what locals recommend. You'll find the best bakery for fresh rolls two minutes from the market square — go before ten; after that it's not worth it.
What I can promise you — in black and white, because you need to know it when booking a place that has no reviews yet:
You book directly with me — one person to talk to, from enquiry to departure. And 18% below my Booking.com listing price, because no platform commission applies.
An honest answer: reviews take time. The house has been in the family, and I have known the lake since childhood. What you get in return: my direct number, a 30% deposit instead of full prepayment, free cancellation until 14 days before arrival — and 18% less than on the platforms, because no commission applies. If something isn't right, call me — I answer myself.
Cancellation until 14 days before arrival: full refund, no discussion. 13 to 7 days before: 50% of the rental price. From 6 days before or no-show: 90%. Regardless of the tiers: call me — if I can re-let the period, the fee is reduced accordingly, and we often find another date within the season together. That works because I make the decisions myself.
ICE high-speed train to Güstrow (station on the edge of town), 20 km away. From there, a taxi to Krakow costs about €35, or take bus 248 (approx. 45 min, €4–5). Locally you get around well by bike; rental bikes are available in the centre (no bikes provided at the house).
Yes — gladly. Phone and WhatsApp are listed on this page; I reply within 24 hours, usually much faster. I answer myself — no co-host, no agency.
Example calculation for a midsummer week, 2 adults + 2 children, 1 dog: rent for 7 nights €1,512, final cleaning included, bed linen and towels €0, electricity/water/heating/Wi-Fi €0, dog €105 (€15/night × 7), tourist tax payable locally (2 adults × 8 days of stay × €1.50) €24. Total: €1,641, all prices incl. 7% VAT. No booking or service fees are added — what you see here is what you pay. From the third guest over 12: €20 per person per night; children up to 12 free. For comparison: on Booking.com I list the same week at around €1,785 rent — booking directly saves you about €273.
Self check-in via a key safe at the house. You receive the code by email 24 hours in advance. Arrive when it suits you — at 4 pm, at 10 pm, or after the traffic jam near Wittstock. Departure by 10 am.
Yes, both are included in the price — you don't need to bring anything. Electricity, water and heating are included as well.
Master bedroom: a 180 cm double bed with its own air conditioning. Children's room: a bunk bed for two children; under the European standard DIN EN 747-1 the top bunk is not suitable for children under 6. The office can optionally take an additional double bed — turning four beds into up to six. Maximum occupancy: four adults and two children.
Two car parking spaces right at the house, behind an electrically operated yard gate. You receive the gate code together with the key-safe code.
One dog is welcome by prior arrangement, €15 per night. Please keep it off the bed and the furniture. The garden is fully secured (electric gate, hedge and screening) — a dog can roam freely.
Yes — there is a separate office with a desk, an ergonomic office chair and a lockable door, not a repurposed dining table. The house has a fibre connection, the living area and master bedroom are air-conditioned (with doors open, the office too — only the bathroom is not), and the second-row location is quiet enough for video calls. Lunch break: two minutes to the jetty.
Yes, Wi-Fi is available throughout the house. You receive the access details together with the key-safe code 24 hours before arrival.
The town centre with bakery, café, supermarket and restaurant is about 2 km away — a few minutes by car or bike, roughly half an hour on foot. First-hand recommendations: the restaurant “Zur alten Schmiede” (Ernst-Thälmann-Str. 16) and the “Waldhaus” (Am Borgwall 12). The house folder lists three more — two of which only locals know.
The jetty is shared by several neighbouring owners — the house holds a co-ownership share with its own berth, which you may use as a guest. Swimming, SUP, canoe, kayak or rowing boat: any time. Your own boat at the berth: gladly — please mention it when booking. Motorboats on the lower lake (Krakower Untersee) require a permit from the StALU (the regional office for agriculture and environment) and are limited to 5 hp; the upper lake (Obersee) is a nature reserve and closed to boats.
A 30% deposit within 7 days of booking, the balance no later than 30 days before arrival. Cancellation until 14 days before arrival: full refund; until 7 days before arrival: 50%; after that, 90% of the rental price is due. If I can re-let the period, the fee is reduced accordingly.
A high chair and a travel cot are available. The bunk bed in the second bedroom sleeps two children; the upper bunk is suitable for children aged 6 and over (DIN EN 747-1).
Just contact me by phone or WhatsApp — I will post anything you left behind against reimbursement of the postage.
Teal days are free and bookable, sand-coloured struck-through days are taken, grey days are in the past. The data comes straight from the booking system — the booking calendar in the Prices section is binding.
Please report it right away, ideally during your stay — then it can be settled before departure. Normal signs of use are not a problem.
Security cameras are installed on the outside grounds (gate and parking area) and cover only that area — not the terrace, not the lakeside garden, not the interior. Recordings are deleted automatically after 72 hours and are reviewed only in case of damage (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR). An alarm system protects the house outside your booking period; during your stay it is switched off.
Three nights, a week, two weeks — you book directly with me. A short message is enough; I usually reply the same day, within 24 hours at the latest.
Free cancellation until 14 days before arrival. 30% deposit, balance not due until 30 days before.
